Robert L. Durocher, 82, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, died June 25, 2022 in Florida. He was the husband of Rosamond (Magnan) Durocher, whom he married April 24, 1965. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Leo and Alexandra (Chabot) Durocher.

Bob attended one year of seminary at Our Lady of Providence in Warwick Neck. He went on to serve in the Air Force, stationed for four years in Misawa, Japan. Bob later worked as an analyst for the Department of Defense in Ft. Meade, MD. After his retirement in 1995, he became interested in photography, and became talented enough to have some of his photos featured in magazines. He was president of the Oak Run Photography Club in Ocala. He loved sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots, and had coached his children’s baseball and softball teams when they were young.

Besides his wife, Rosamond, he leaves their children, Robert Durocher, Jr., and his wife, Amy, of Baltimore, MD, Daniel Durocher, and his wife, Asa, of Albord, TX, Renee Lefebvre, and her husband, Alan, of Boca Raton, FL, Anne Walsh, and her husband, Thomas, of Rye, NY, and Christopher Durocher, and his wife, Colleen, of Davidsonville, MD; his sister, Paulette Cournoyer, and her husband, Paul, of Woonsocket; twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Friday, July 29, 2022, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Agatha’s Church 34 Joffre Ave., Woonsocket. The family will receive guests at the completion of Mass. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Wrentham Rd., Bellingham. Flowers may be sent, or donations may be made to the donor’s local food bank.
