Catherine Lucille Allen Grassette, age 67, of Ocklawaha, FL.

Loving wife, mother and grandmother was called home to the lord on July 17, 2022.

Catherine “Momma” “Grammy” was born on April 15, 1955 in Savannah Ga. She spent the early part of her life in Simsbury, CT, then lived in several locations throughout Connecticut until relocating to the Ocala area in 1995. She worked most of her life for various manufacturing companies and was most recently employed as an electronic technician for the Lockheed Martin Corp. until her retirement several years ago.

Catherine was living with her husband Greg in a peaceful home set beside a lake. Her days were spent reading her favorite books, doing her favorite crafts, feeding the local sand cranes called “Jurassic Park,” cultivating her AMAZING plants, and taking care of her beloved pets. She had a tremendous love for animals and throughout the years rescued and adopted so many without hesitation. Most importantly she loved spending time with her grand babies. Catherine and her husband Greg also opened their home to several “adopted” young people that were in need of place to stay and call home for a time. She was an amazing woman with an infectious laugh that would warm the hearts of everyone around her. She was a true momma bear, kind of a flower child with an edge, she will be missed by so many.

Catherine’s memory will live on in the hearts of her husband Greg Grassette, mother, Blanche Allen, and Peter Sacco. Her daughters, Michelle Gagnon & Lee Mucklroy of Killeen TX, Ashley Sacco Spencer & her husband, Kile of Summerfield, FL, Maranda Sacco Quiles and her husband, Adam of Oxford FL, son, Jason Gagnon & Nicole Ragauskas of Middlebury, CT, grandchildren, Mason, Garrett, Logan, Ellie, Zoey, Grayson, Alex, Emma, Maya and Mikayla, her brothers, Chester Allen & his wife, Judy, Matthew Allen & his wife, Barbara and William August & his wife, Patricia “Patty” as well as several nieces and nephews.

Catherine is also predeceased by her father Chester Allen and her brother Michael August.

A celebration of her life will be held by the family at a later date with details being provided by them as well. Memorial donations can be made in her name to the Humane Society of Marion County 701 NW 14th Rd., Ocala, FL 34475.
