A free weekly hiking event for young children is kicking off at the Fort King National Historic Landmark on Friday, August 12 at 9 a.m.
During the 30-minute ‘Tyke Hike’ event, families and their small children (ages 2 to 4) will explore the Fort King National Historic Landmark located at 3925 E Fort King Street in Ocala.
The themed weekly hikes, which will be held on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., will teach participants about nature. The tyke hikers will get to see the garden, seep spring, and bee hives, and they will also get to enjoy a short activity.
No registration is required, and the weekly events are free and open to the public.
