Marion Cultural Alliance (MCA) will host a Block Party on Broadway fundraising event in November which will include an art exhibit featuring works from local, regional, renowned national, and international talent.

The event will take place at the Brick City Center for the Arts, which is located at 23 SW Broadway Street in Ocala.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, November 4, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with open gallery hours from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to coincide with the City of Ocala’s First Friday Art Walk.

Tickets for the reception, which cost $50 for MCA members and $55 for non-members, include exclusive VIP access to the gallery and awards ceremony, hors d’oeuvres, one drink ticket, live art demonstrations, an art drawing, a cash bar with signature cocktails, and a DJ.

The art exhibit begins on Friday, November 4, and it will run through Saturday, November 26. According to MCA, the exhibit will showcase art that was created and donated by celebrities, artists (locally-based, national, and international), designers, creators, youth, and more.

The featured artworks will remain on display through the end of the exhibition. All funds raised during the event will benefit MCA, its programs, and initiatives.

MCA is also accepting entries from local artists and makes for the Shop at the Brick’s fall/winter consignment, and artist participation is free.
