Marion County Public Schools will host its first Parent Partnership event later this month to welcome back families and students to school.
The event is free to attend and will be held on Saturday, August 27 at Lake Weir High School, which is located at 10351 SE Maricamp Road in Ocala.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. with a school performance, pledge of allegiance, and ‘welcome’ presentation. All participants will then get to browse the various tables and learn about community resources.
Limited bus transportation to the event is available for parents and children who are at least 5 years old.
While registration is not required to attend the event, it will reserve a seat for the chosen session and bus stop. To pre-register, visit the MCPS Parent Partnership webpage.
According to MCPS, the Parent Partnership sessions showcase the district’s efforts to build stronger relationships with families, schools, and the community.
