Ocala Recovery Fest returns next month to remember those lost to addiction

The Ocala Recovery Fest will return to Ocala next month to remember those lost to addiction and celebrate others on their journey to recovery.

The fifth annual Ocala Recovery Fest will be held on Saturday, September 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m at Tuscawilla Park, which is located at 829 NE Sanchez Avenue. The family-friendly event is free to attend and open to the public.

A Memory Wall will be featured throughout the event to honor loved ones that have been lost to addiction. Guest speakers from the community will share their personal experiences, and numerous exhibitors will be on-hand to distribute free resources and information.

Live music will be provided by Mike Smithson. Pony rides, face painting, vendors, a selfie booth, and a balloon artist will also be available in the Kids Zone.

During the upcoming event, the 2022 Chief Greg Graham Recovery Champion Award will be given to a vital member of the additional treatment community.

The Ocala Recovery Fest is dedicated to the late Chief Greg Graham, whose amnesty program through the Ocala Police Department has helped hundreds of Ocala and Marion County residents who are fighting addiction.
