Williston flight instructor, sex offender arrested after allegedly committing offense against student

A 45-year-old flight instructor and registered sex offender was arrested by the Williston Police Department after he was accused of committing an offense against a student.

According to WPD Police Chief Mike Rolls, Archer resident Keith Edward Walker has been registered as a sex offender with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement since 2005 in Monroe County for lewd and lascivious molestation on a juvenile victim (12 to 15 years old).

In 2019, Walker began working at Sky Chiefs Aviation in Williston, and he has been a flight instructor since 2020.

On Sunday, August 21, a WPD detective arrested Walker for allegedly committing an offense on a student as an authority figure. He was transported to Levy County Jail, and bond has been set at $350,000.

A court date has not been scheduled yet, according to jail records.

Police Chief Rolls stated that the investigation is on-going, and it is believed that there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. If anyone has any information or believes that they were a victim of Walker, please contact Detective Confessore at 352-528-4991.
