One driver was hospitalized on Monday evening following a two-vehicle crash that occurred on SW 60th Street Road in Ocala.
On Monday, August 29, shortly before 8:45 p.m., Ocala Fire Rescue units were dispatched to the 5000 block of SW 60th Street Road due to reports of a vehicle accident with possible entrapment.
OFR units consisting of Engine 6 and Battalion Chief 11 arrived on scene. Crew members observed a white Audi with moderate front passenger side damage in the middle of the road, and a black Ford with heavy passenger side damage was resting on a fence, next to a tree.
According to OFR, the driver of the Audi needed assistance getting out of the vehicle, though extrication was not necessary. The driver of the Ford sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
