22-year-old Ocala convicted felon sentenced to 32 months in federal prison for possessing firearm

Senior United States District Judge John Antoon II has sentenced 22-year-old D’Andra Miller of Ocala to 32 months in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.

Miller had pleaded guilty on May 24, 2022.

According to court records, Miller was found with a firearm on two different occasions. DNA comparison analysis confirmed the presence of Miller’s DNA on both of the firearms.

Due to a prior felony conviction for burglary of a conveyance, Miller is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition under federal law.

This case was investigated by the Ocala Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tyrie K. Boyer.
