‘Looking on the Brighter Side’ art exhibit now on display in Ocala

A new exhibit by Jennifer Weigel, a multi-disciplinary mixed-media and conceptual artist, is now on display in Ocala.

The exhibit, which is titled ‘Looking on the Brighter Side,’ can be viewed at the Ocala Recreation and Parks Administration Building (828 NE 8th Avenue) and Eighth Avenue Adult Activity Center (830 NE 8th Avenue) on Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The artwork will remain on display through Monday, January 9, 2023. There is no cost to view the exhibit and it is open to the public.

The featured artist, Jennifer Weigel, utilizes a wide range of media to convey her ideas, including assemblage, drawing, fibers, installation, jewelry, paint, performance, photography, video, and writing.

Much of Weigel’s work touches on themes of beauty, identity (especially gender identity), memory, and institutional critique. Her art has been exhibited nationally in all 50 states.
