MCSO looking for two suspects who attempted to use stolen debit, credit cards at Walmart

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying two individuals who attempted to use stolen debit and credit cards at Walmart.

On August 29, 2022, a female victim’s vehicle was parked at the Greenway Trailhead on SE Baseline Road when someone shattered the front passenger window, according to a social media post from MCSO. The victim’s purse was stolen, and it contained her driver’s license, credit and debit cards, gift cards, an insurance card, social security card, and $60 in cash.

Shortly after the burglary, the victim received notification that someone had attempted to use her cards to make a $500 transaction at the Walmart located at 4980 E Silver Springs Boulevard in Ocala.

On September 9, 2022, another female victim’s vehicle was parked at the Santos Trailhead on SE 80th Street when one of the windows was shattered. The victim’s bank cards, driver’s license, and medications were stolen. The victim was also notified that someone had attempted to use her cards to purchase $500 in gift cards from the Walmart located at 4085 Wedgewood Lane in The Villages.

An MCSO Property Crimes detective investigated both incidents and was able to obtain photos of the two individuals (pictured below) who had attempted to use the victims’ cards at Walmart.
