Discovery Center’s newest exhibit explores different states of matter

The Discovery Center’s newest exhibit, Science Matters, will open to the public on Saturday, October 1.

The various states of matter will be showcased throughout the exhibit. Visitors will get to dress up as scientists as they discover the life cycle of water, move like matter in the Matter Course Area, and learn about neon lights.

Science Matters will remain on display through Saturday, December 3 at the Discovery Center, which is located at 701 NE Sanchez Avenue in Ocala. The exhibit will be open on Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

General admission to the Discovery Center is $8 per person or $28 for a family of four. Annual memberships are also available for individuals and families.

StarLab Planetarium shows are held on Saturdays by reservation only, and tickets cost $30 per ten-person group. Guests who are interested in the planetarium are encouraged to call ahead to book a reservation time.

The Discovery Center also offers an alternative Planetarium-like show, NASA Solar System Exploration, which is available for a $3 add-on to the price of general admission.
