(Update from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office: George Fredrick Bastian has been located out of county and he is safe).
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is seeking the public’s help to locate a missing and endangered 56-year-old man who was last seen leaving his Summerfield residence on Thursday, September 29.
According to a media release from MCSO, on September 29, 2022, George Fredrick Bastian was last seen leaving his home located at 12589 SE 80th Avenue in Summerfield. He was driving a white ford F-150 pickup truck with Florida license plate 5939XD.
George is 5’6”, he weights approximately 200 pounds, and he has brown eyes and salt and pepper hair.
MCSO states that George has previously suffered from a brain aneurysm, which resulted in diminished cognitive functioning. He has not been taking his prescribed medications, and this has caused concern for his safety.
