Ocala to host additional public meeting on proposed redistricting maps

The City of Ocala has announced that an additional public meeting about proposed redistricting will be held on Thursday, October 27, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the MLK First Responders Campus.

The meeting, which is free and open to the public, will cover the proposed redistricting maps, and city staff will be available to answer any questions.

For those who are unable to attend, or are uncomfortable with attending meetings in person, a recording of the presentation from the public meeting on October 13 is also available.

According to the city, written comments can be submitted by emailing the Growth Management Department at: [email protected] by no later than 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 6. Written comments can also be physically mailed to 201 SE 3rd Street, Second Floor, Ocala, FL 34471.

Florida’s Sunshine Laws require all comments submitted to be entered into the public record.
