Dorsey Turner Mansfield, 85, of Ocala, FL passed away on October 18, 2022 in Ocala, Florida.

Dorsey was born in Jacksonville, Florida on December 24, 1936. He graduated from Andrew Jackson Senior High School in Jacksonville, FL on June 10, 1955.

Dorsey started his career in the tire industry in Jacksonville with the B.F. Goodrich Company. He was transferred to Winter Haven, Florida, then to St. Petersburg, Florida. Relocating to Ocala, Florida he opened and operated Marion Tire Battery, a B.F. Goodrich Dealership for 34 years. Dorsey retired as a Sergeant in the United States Army Reserve in 1962 after five years.

Dorsey was a member of the Florida Tire Dealers Association (FITRA) of which served as President from 1982-83 and a member of the Board of Directors.

In 1994 he served as President of the Marion County Tire Dealer Association, as well as a member of the Site Board for Marion County Waste Control Management.

Dorsey enjoyed spending time with his three grandchildren, traveling with is wife and family. He loved working in his yard and volunteering at his church. Many years he served as a Sunday school teacher, Elder, Deacon substitute choir director at Grace Presbyterian Church.

Dorsey T. Mansfield is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marva June Mansfield of Ocala, Florida as well as three children and three grandchildren. Barry M. Mansfield (Sandy Cullison Mansfield) and their two sons, Mitchell Cody and Colt Mansfield of Ocala, Florida. Melody Mansfield Booth (Glenn A Booth) and their son Roderick Turner Booth of Boynton Beach, Florida. Mark C. Mansfield of Baltimore, Maryland.

Funeral services will be held at Roberts of Ocala Downtown Chapel on Thursday, November 3, 2022, for visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Chapel as well on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 12:30 p.m., with interment immediately following at Highland Memorial Park. Reverend Theo Van Blerk of Grace Presbyterian Church will be officiating.
