Roberto Alaniz Gonzalez
On Sunday evening November 27, 2022, our father, Roberto passed away peacefully at home. He was surrounded by his surviving children Reynaldo, Raul, Rene , Rafael and Agapito. Our dad was preceded in death by his wife of more than 65 years Sylvia, his son Roberto (57) and twin daughters (stillborn)
Roberto or “Pappy” as he was known to family was born in Yorktown, Texas. He served in the United States Marines in the Korean War. He also was a migrant worker before settling his family in Miami Florida in 1960. He worked in plastic manufacturing and often worked more than one job to care for his family.
Pappy was as sharp as they come and taught his kids to work hard. He loved to golf and fish and often took us boys fishing. After moving to Dunnellon Florida, he would fish daily, taking the canoe out for a spin on the lake.
Pappy is also survived by 16 grandchildren and at least 12 great grandkids,
He will be missed by all.
