This Saturday will be the last chance to experience ‘Science Matters’ at the Discovery Center before the exhibit comes to an end.
The exhibit showcases the various states of matter, and visitors will get to dress up as scientists as they discover the life cycle of water, move like matter in the Matter Course Area, and learn about neon lights.
Science Matters will remain on display through Saturday, December 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Discovery Center located at 701 NE Sanchez Avenue in Ocala. The exhibit is sponsored by Marion Rotary Duck Derby, Ocala Electric Utility, Fun4Ocala Kids, and Duke Energy.
General admission is $8 per person or $28 for a family of four. Annual memberships are also available for individuals and families.
StarLab Planetarium shows are held at the Discovery Center on Saturdays by reservation only, and tickets cost $30 per ten-person group. Guests who are interested in the planetarium are encouraged to call ahead to book a reservation time.
The Discovery Center also offers an alternative Planetarium-like show, NASA Solar System Exploration, which is available for a $3 add-on to the price of general admission.
