The City of Ocala has announced that its business offices will be closed on Friday, December 23 and Monday, December 26 in observance of Christmas. Additionally, city offices will be closed on Monday, January 2, 2023, in observance of New Year’s Day.
During these business office closures, the residential and commercial sanitation schedule will be as follows:
- Monday, December 19 through Friday, December 23: All routes will be normal.
- Monday, December 26 through Friday, December 30: Residential sanitation and Waste Pro recycling routes will experience a one-day delay and will instead run Tuesday through Friday. Commercial sanitation routes will be collected as regularly scheduled.
- Monday, January 2 through Friday, January 6: Residential sanitation and Waste Pro recycling routes will experience a one-day delay and will instead run Tuesday through Friday. Commercial sanitation routes will be collected as regularly scheduled.
The SunTran bus system will have reduced hours on the following days:
- Saturday, December 24, from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday, December 31, from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day, SunTran will be closed for operations on Monday, December 26 and Monday, January 2.
SunTran’s regular service hours are on Monday through Saturday, from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
