Ocala to host ‘After Dark in the Park’ holiday movie event at Tuscawilla Park

The Ocala Recreation and Parks Department is inviting the community to attend a festive “After Dark in the Park” movie event that will be held this evening at Tuscawilla Park.

The event, which begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 16, will feature the 1994 holiday classic film The Santa Clause starring Tim Allen. The movie tells the story of a man named Scott who inadvertently makes Santa fall off his roof on Christmas Eve and is magically recruited to take Santa’s place.

The Santa Clause is rated PG for a few crude moments.

The event is free and open to the public. Those in attendance are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.

Additionally, in recognition of National Ugly Sweater Day, everyone who wears an ugly sweater will receive a free bag of popcorn. Snacks, drinks, and other refreshments will also be available for purchase.

For more information, visit the Ocala Recreation and Parks Department’s webpage.

Tuscawilla Park is located at 800 NE Sanchez Avenue in Ocala.
