Silver Springs resident voices concerns on loud vehicles

To the Editor:

For over eight years, I have been complaining about the loud bass coming from vehicles during all hours of the day and night. Plus, I have been woken up over 100 times within those eight years, and three times since the law against it took effect on July 1, 2022.

I have been told by law enforcement officers that they are not going to do anything because they may have to go to court to defend their enforcement, and they do not want to go to court. They are getting paid to enforce – not ignore. If they do not want to do that, then they can pay me the money I would need to move to a quieter area.

Sheriff Billy Woods would not put up with this. Why should we? Enough is enough. I have also complained about the speeding. Again, nothing done.
