The Reilly Noir Jazz series is set to return to the Reilly Arts Center in two weeks with a concert featuring a talented husband and wife duo.
On Friday, January 13, 2023, at 7:30 p.m., Per and Tamara Danielsson will take the stage. Per Danielsson is the piano instructor at the University of Central Florida, and his wife, Tamara, performs at Disney.
Per Danielsson is a jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and educator, and he has performed with many leading jazz artists and entertainers throughout his career such as Rich Matteson, Louis Bellson, Clark Terry, Rosemary Clooney, Don Braden, and more.
Tamara Danielsson is a skilled saxophonist who has won a Downbeat Student Recording Award, a guest soloist spot with the Cal-State Northridge Jazz Ensemble at the NAJE Conference, and the NAJE’s “New Young Talent Award,” among other accolades and awards.
General admission tickets cost $25, and VIP tables are also available for $175. VIP includes four admission tickets, a reserved table, and the first round of drinks.

The Reilly Noir Jazz series, which began in September, will include one concert every month through May 12, 2023, in the NOMA Black Box at the Reilly Arts Center (500 NE 9th Street in Ocala). Here is a list of the remaining musicians that will take the stage during the concert series:
- The Carlos Vizoso Band on Friday, February 3, 2023 (7:30 p.m.). Vizoso is currently an instructor for jazz at the University of Florida, and he has taught Jazz Improvisation, Jazz Fundamentals 1 and 2, Jazz Chamber Music, and Jazz History. His band features high energy smooth Jazz and funk which highlights the music of David Sanborn, Eric Marienthal, and Grover Washington, Jr.
- The Global Jazz Collective on Friday, March 3, 2023 (7:30 p.m.). The electrifying group showcases funk and bebop music in a high energy multicultural music setting. The group is led by University of Florida Director of Jazz Studies Scott Wilson along with Latin Grammy Award winner and UF Head of Music Business and Entrepreneurship, Jose Valentino.
- Michelle Mailhot on Friday, April 7, 2023 (7:30 p.m.). Mailhot is a Walt Disney World jazz singer who is equally active as a performer and educator. Throughout her career, she has shared the stage with Liza Minnelli, Mel Tormé, Max Roach, Dick Williams, Sandy Patti, and Thomas Dolby, to name a few.
- Lisa Kelly and JB Scott on Friday, May 12, 2023 (7:30 p.m.). JB is a world-class trumpet player and instructor at the University of North Florida, and Kelly is a DownBeat-winning singer. They will wrap up the season with an entertaining showcase.
