Salvatore Biondi, 98, of Ocala, FL passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Sal was born on May 18, 1924, in Rome, NY to the late John & Celestine Biondi. Sal graduated from Rome Free Academy & served in the US Army during WW II.
On May 4, 1946, Sal was united in marriage to Conchetta (Connie) Voci until her passing in January, 2002. Sal served on the Rome Police Department from 1953 until his retirement in 1978. He & Connie then moved to FL. He enjoyed golfing and was fortunate enough to have 5 holes in one. They both also enjoyed traveling.
Sal was predeceased by his twin brother Vincent in 1989. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Celeste Weeks of Rome, NY and Paula Sassano of Summerfield, FL, 5 grandsons, John Weeks & wife Melissa (Canton, NC), Darrell Weeks & wife Lisa (Fairfax, VA), Russell Weeks & wife Jennifer (Cedar Creek, TX), Rob Biondi and fiancée Laura Kay (Summerfield, FL), Michael Woodward and wife Chrissie (Ocala, FL); 2 great grandsons, 3 great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to thank Tim and Louise Beverly of Ocala, FL for being his loving caretakers for the past 8 years.
