The City of Ocala’s Bluegrass and BBQ returns to Tuscawilla Art Park on Friday, January 20, and the event will feature the music of International Bluegrass Award-winning artists Appalachian Road Show with The Wandering Hours.
Appalachian Road Show includes Grammy-nominated banjoist Barry Abernathy, Grammy-winning fiddler Jim VanCleve, esteemed vocalist and mandolinist Darrel Webb, and guitarist Zeb Snyder.
During the event, which will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Tuscawilla Art Park, food will be available from local food truck favorites such as Big Lee’s Serious About BBQ and Country Boyz. Additionally, Big Man’s Café will provide desserts for sale, and beer and wine will also be available for purchase.
Jennifer Normoyle, Grants and Outreach Manager for the City of Ocala, stated, “It is exciting to present an artist (Appalachian Road Show) that represents the history and spirit of America’s original folk music.”
“Florida has a large interest in Bluegrass music, and we are supporting that by featuring Florida-based, neo-traditional Bluegrass artist, The Wandering Hours. It’s going to be a great show,” added Normoyle.
General admission tickets are available online and cost $10 per person. On the day of the event, general admission tickets will be sold at the gate for $15.
