The recreation and parks department stated that the teams will go head-to-head in “some of the toughest, grittiest, and most gnarly challenges.” Each of these challenges will be based on time-period skills, practices, and challenges that were faced by soldiers and settlers in the 1800s.

The GRIT Strength Challenge is open to the public and there is no entry fee for spectators. During the event, food, beverages, and merchandise will be available to purchase.
