Marion County Sheriff’s Office looking for missing 23-year-old woman last seen in Summerfield

(Update from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office: “Carly has been located in another county and is safe. Thank you for sharing.”)

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing and endangered 23-year-old woman who was last seen leaving her Summerfield residence on December 10, 2022.

On that date, Carly Danielle Axen was last seen leaving her home, which is located in the 3600 block of SE 139th Street in Summerfield. Carly was supposed to be heading to work but never arrived at her place of employment, and she did not return home, according to the sheriff’s office.

Carly is 5’4” tall, she weighs approximately 300 pounds, and she has brown eyes and black hair with white highlights.

Carly has a 2020 white Dodge Journey with a Florida license plate (AF04PY). MCSO stated that Carly has not had any contact with her family since December 10, and investigators believe that she may be in the company of her ex-boyfriend, 21-year-old Christopher Godfrey.

According to MCSO, Christopher was last seen driving Carly’s vehicle after December 10, and Carly was not with him. Due to the suspicious nature of Carly’s disappearance, there is concern for her safety.
