Eva Mae Hall Maynard (86) passed away peacefully on Friday, January 13, 2023 at the Brandley Hospice House, in Summerfield, FL.
Originally from Huntington, WV, Eva was predeceased in death by her husband, Donald Maynard; her parents, Maggie and James Franklin Hall; her brothers, Charles, Dallas, Frank and Orville Hall ; her sisters, Leora Canterberry, Cora Williams and Betty Jane Hall.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Beverly Ann, her husband, Gary and their two sons, T. J. (Michelle) and Chad, all of Ocala, FL; her son, Donald Newman Maynard of Atmore, AL; his son, Kyle Maynard (Krystal) of Baker, FL; six beautiful great granddaughters, Quinn, Charlotte and Piper Jarvis of Ocala, FL and Kirsten, Kaitlyn and Kambry Maynard of Baker, FL. Eva is also survived by one sister, Margaret McClellan (John) of East Lynn, WV.
Eva worked and retired after 20 years of service as a seamstress for Maidenform, Inc., Huntington, WV. She and her husband Don retired and moved to Ocala, FL in 1981.
Eva was an active member of College Road Baptist Church, Ocala, FL for 40+ years. She and many of her friends were instrumental in the growth of the church and building expansion projects over the years. Eva served as a children’s Sunday school teacher and she was very active with Hostess duties for the many church functions that involved the kitchen staff as well as helping to decorate the church’s sanctuary for many holidays and occasions. Eva also volunteered for Hospice for many years.
Services for Eva will be Friday, January 20th at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Ocala, FL. Viewing will be from 11am-12pm with the funeral following at 12. Interment will follow immediately after at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
