Ocala preparing to host 2023 ‘After Dark in the Park’ movie series

The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department will host the 2023 ‘After Dark in the Park’ movie series on select dates throughout the year at various parks across the city.

The events, which are free and open to the public, will feature the following films:

  • Friday, February 24 at 7 p.m.“Soul” (PG) at Webb Field, which is located at 1501 W Silver Springs Boulevard.
  • Saturday, April 1 at 8 p.m. “The Monuments Men” (PG-13) at Tuscawilla Art Park, which is located at 213 NE 5th Street.
  • Friday, July 14 at 8:30 p.m. “Encanto” (PG) at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place, which is located at 1821 NW 21st Avenue.
  • Friday, October 6 at 7 p.m. “Hotel Transylvania” (PG) at Citizens’ Circle, which is located at 151 SE Osceola Avenue.
  • Friday, December 29 at 7 p.m. “Home Alone” (PG) at Tuscawilla Park Oak Grove, which is located at 500 NE 9th Street.

During each event, popcorn, drinks, and other refreshments will be available for purchase. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.
