Belleview police officer competes in Battle Axe Showdown

A Belleview police officer traveled to Texas this past weekend to compete in a popular amateur Strongman competition.

The fourth annual Battle Axe Showdown was held on Saturday, January 21 in Garland, Texas, and the event attracted athletes from across the country. One of those athletes was Belleview Police Department Officer Jessica Galler.

Officer Galler competed in a total of four events, including the iconic semi-truck pull. In this event, each competitor is tasked with pulling an 18,000-pound semi-truck across the finish line in under 60 seconds. She managed to complete the event in 19.75 seconds, which was the fifth fastest time out of 105 competitors.
