A Marion County school bus collided with another vehicle on W Highway 329 in Citra on Monday morning.
At approximately 9:10 a.m., the school bus was traveling southbound on a private drive of North Marion Middle School (2085 W Highway 329 in Citra), according to the Florida Highway Patrol incident report.
At the same time, a 44-year-old woman from Ocala was heading westbound in an SUV on W Highway 329 near the intersection of NW 21st Court.
FHP stated that the school bus proceeded to turn right onto W Highway 329, but the driver – a 62-year-old woman from Citra – failed to yield to oncoming traffic. As a result, the front left corner of the school bus crashed into the right side of the SUV.
No children were on the bus at the time of the accident, and there were no injuries reported.
The names of the drivers involved in the accident were not released by the Florida Highway Patrol.
