Due to several prescribed burns that are being conducted to the east of Ocala in Marion County, motorists in the area are being urged to use caution.
The prescribed burns totaling approximately 1,600 acres are expected to be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday.
Residents in and around Ocala could be impacted by the smoke, and residual light smoke could be visible in the evening, overnight, and early morning hours before lifting out of the area.
Any motorists encountering smoky conditions should slow down and utilize low-beam headlights in order to adapt to changing weather conditions.
