Marion County sheriff seeks help in finding man wanted for construction fraud

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is looking for 32-year-old Alan George Blair III

Sheriff Woods stated that Blair went to the female victim’s home to give her a quote for work to be done on her sunroom. Blair collected a $3,000 deposit from the victim and informed her that he would start the job after the permits were pulled and the windows were ordered.

Blair never ordered the windows or applied for permits, and he “completely ghosted” the victim, according to the sheriff.

“Alan, you spoke with my detective stating you would come to talk to him with your attorney, but we haven’t heard from you,” said Sheriff Woods. “So now we have a warrant for your arrest, and all my citizens know your face.”

The sheriff added that Blair is unlikely to turn himself in, and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office is hoping that someone in the community knows where he is located.

If anyone has any information on Blair’s whereabouts, Sheriff Woods asks that you call Crime Stoppers of Marion County at 352-368-STOP (7867) and reference 23-08 in your tip. If you use Crime Stoppers and your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
