‘Teen Hoopz’ basketball league tips off this week in Ocala, registration still open

A fun and competitive basketball league for local teenagers is tipping off this week at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place, and there is still time to sign up.

The Teen Hoopz Basketball league is open to teenagers between the ages of 13 and 17, and it will focus on teamwork, leadership, and the value of sportsmanship, both on and off the court.

The recreational league will begin on Tuesday, February 28, and it will run through Thursday, April 6. The teen participants will be able to show off their basketball skills on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place, which is located at 1821 NW 21st Avenue in Ocala.

Registration will remain open until 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28. There is a cost of $25 per person.
