Adults who are interested in working for Marion County Public Schools are invited to attend an upcoming Career Camp to help polish their resumes and job skills in preparation for real-time interviews.
The event will take place on Wednesday, March 8, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at three campus locations in Marion County:
- Howard Academy (306 NW 7th Avenue in Ocala).
- Legacy Elementary (8496 Juniper Road in Ocala).
- Marion Oaks Elementary (280 Marion Oaks Trail in Ocala).
The Career Camp is free and open to any adult wanting to be employed by Marion County Public Schools. During the event, candidates will be offered tips on application assistance, face-to-face interaction, mock interviews, developing an “elevator pitch,” and other facets of successful job searches.
According to MCPS, Career Camp attendees will leave the event “camp certified” and receive priority consideration within a streamlined process with school and district leaders when they hire new employees at the district’s upcoming Career Fair. That separate event will be held on Saturday, April 15 at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala.
