(Update from the Marion County Office of the County Engineer: The date of the temporary road closure has been revised. Instead of this Monday, the temporary road closure will be in effect on Thursday, March 16, between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The original story that was published on March 7 is below.)

Due to the installation of a storm pipe, Ocala motorists can expect a temporary road closure on Hemlock Terrace Way on Monday, March 13.

The road closure will be in place on Hemlock Terrace Way, from Hemlock Terrace Track to Redwood Trace, between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Commercial Industrial Corporation will be working for the Stormwater Division of the Marion County Office of the County Engineer to install a storm pipe under the roadway. The installation will include cutting the pavement, which will require pavement repairs. Equipment and personnel will be in the county right-of-way.

Crews will place barricades and signs to detour traffic around the work zones. The road will be passable for local traffic only. Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible.

Adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances may affect schedules.
