Marion County Public Library System announces extended hours at several branches

The Marion County Public Library System announced this week that it will be expanding its evening hours of service until 7 p.m. on Monday through Thursday at several branch locations, effective on March 11.

According to the library system, the branches with extended evening hours will include Headquarters-Ocala (2720 E Silver Springs Boulevard in Ocala), Belleview (13145 SE Highway 484 in Belleview), Dunnellon (20351 Robinson Road in Dunnellon), and Freedom (5870 SW 95th Street in Ocala).

The Friday hours of operation for the Headquarters-Ocala, Belleview, Dunnellon, and Freedom public library locations will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. These branches will be open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and they will be closed on Sundays.

The library system stated that there will be no changes to the hours of service at the other public library locations in Marion County.

During the summer, the Marion County Public Library System will provide opportunities for the public to offer feedback regarding service hours through surveys and social media efforts. For more information, visit the library system’s website or Facebook page.
