Several more residents discuss problems with internet and cell service in Ocala/Marion County

Three more residents submitted letters to Ocala-News.com to voice their concerns regarding the quality of internet and cellphone service in Ocala/Marion County.

“I agree with the gentleman who submitted a letter about the poor internet and cell service. CenturyLink is the only internet provider in my area and their service is absolutely horrible. I’ve had technicians come out and pretty much tell me, “Sorry, we can’t do anything for you.” I have sent an email to commissioner Michelle Stone about this problem and about having other providers run lines with no response. We may live on farms out here on 326 but we would still like connectivity,” says Ocala resident AJ Ward.

“As a CenturyLink internet user, I have constant problems. I have to reset my router several times a week. I pay over $65 month for a lousy 25 Mbps. Cox cable is a definite ‘no’ due to their constant bad billing practices. I haven’t tried the T-Mobile or Verizon home Internet. Yes, we have several options. However, many of them have problems,” says Sheila Hunt, Ocala resident.

“Even in the Weirsdale and Ocklawaha area, there is hardly any cell service or internet. Also, when trying to send messages, they just don’t send, and the call doesn’t even ring most times when trying to call someone. I have Cricket,” says Summerfield resident Jessica Wolford.
