Vida Jeanne Ziegler, 94, passed away on March 7, 2023 in Ocala, Florida.
She was born in McIntosh, Florida on June 16, 1928 to Winston A. Hendrix and Vida LaRue. She lived her life in Lowell, Florida with her husband and children. She worked for 30 years at Lowell correctional institute in the accounting department. After her retirement she devoted her life to caring for her grandchildren and other children in the Lowell community. She was a lifelong member of Reddick Methodist Church and devoted to the community and many friends and family who lived there.
She is preceded by her husband, Clarence William Ziegler; mother, Vida LaRue Hendrix; father, Winston A. Hendrix; sisters, Helen Lindsey and Meris Ann Calicchio.
She is survived by her sons, David Wayne Ziegler Sr. (Janie) and Jerry Allen Ziegler (Lita); daughter, Kathy Fiore (Buddy); sister, Sara Lou Eastman; brother, Alvin Julius Hendrix; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
