Marion County resident says electric vehicles are ‘impractical’

A Marion County resident submitted a letter to Ocala-News.com in response to a recent letter discussing the impact of the hurricane season on electric car owners.

“Electric vehicles are a good example of putting the cart before the horse. They are impractical, the infrastructure isn’t in place, and they are more harmful to the environment than using fossil fuels from what I’ve read. Why not just continue to refine hybrids?

As for hurricanes and EVs and other vehicles, you have warnings that a hurricane is coming so there’s no excuse to not prepare early. Hurricanes are unpredictable, but it’s better to be prepared and not need it than to not prepare and need it.”
