Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training to celebrate first year in Ocala with open house

Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training (FAST) is inviting the community to attend an open house on Sunday, April 2, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., in celebration of the facility’s first year in Ocala.

The First Year Anniversary Open House, which is free to attend and open to the public, will be held at the swimming and training facility located at 4635 SW 67th Avenue Road in Ocala. Guests can register for the event online, and those who are pre-registered will be entered into a raffle to win prizes from FAST.

During the event, guests will get to enjoy outdoor swimming, spray ground access, and food from FAST Fuel Concessions. In addition, guests are invited to take part in free aqua aerobics, TRX, and yoga classes.

According to FAST, the first 50 guests who sign up for memberships, programs, or swim lessons during the open house will receive a free limited edition shirt.

FAST is a swimming and training facility that includes an indoor 10-lane 50-meter/25-yard competition pool and a 7-lane 50-meter/25-yard/25-meter outdoor competition pool. The facility can accommodate up to 2,000 spectators.

Since its grand opening in March 2022, the facility has hosted multiple competitions ranging from local, regional, and state meets to age-group, high school, and collegiate meets. Swim clubs and training groups have traveled across the country and internationally to train at the facility, and U.S.A. Swimming has hosted multiple clinics for local and national swimmers, according to FAST.

Thousands of local community members have also attended swim lessons, recreational and competitive swim events, and birthday party celebrations. In a social media post, FAST stated that the facility is currently booking meets, events, and parties through 2025.
