Anibal P. Barris Sr., passed away on March 12, 2023 in Ocala, Florida.
Anibal was born in Maricao, Puerto Rico. He worked for the State University of New York at Stony Brook for 20 years. He received an honorary discharge while he served with the United States Army during the Korean War and continued his service with the United States National Guard totaling 20 years. He enjoyed music, singing, telling jokes, and baseball.
He is survived by his wife, Felicita, and his sons, Alnoris, Geovanni, and Anibal, Jr.
Visitation will be held at Roberts of Ocala, 606 SW 2nd Avenue, Ocala, Florida, 34471, on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A committal ceremony will be held at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, Florida, 33513, on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 1:30 p.m.
