Motorists traveling on SE 64th Avenue Road in Ocala can expect intermittent lane and road closures in the coming days.
Due to the installation of a storm pipe, a temporary road closure is planned on SE 64th Avenue Road, from Hemlock Terrace Pass to Pine Road, beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 26 through 6 a.m. on Monday, March 27.
Commercial Industrial Corporation will be working for the Stormwater Division of the Office of the County Engineer to install a storm pipe under the roadway. The installation will include cutting the pavement, which will require pavement repair. Equipment and personnel will be in the county right-of-way.
In addition to the temporary road closure, motorists can also expect intermittent lane closures on SE 64th Avenue Road, from Hemlock Terrace Pass to Pine Road, through Monday, April 3.
Crews will place barricades and signs to detour traffic around and through the work zones. Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible. The road will be passable for local traffic only.
Adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances may affect schedules.
