The City of Ocala was awarded the best-tasting drinking water at a regional competition that took place earlier this week in Marion County.

During the competition, five judges completed a blind taste test of six water samples from municipalities within the region before awarding the City of Ocala with the best-tasting drinking water. Each of the samples was judged on its taste, color, odor, and clarity.

The City of Ocala will now move onto the “Best of the Best” Tap Water Taste Contest, which will feature the regional winners from across the state of Florida. According to the city, details on the next stage of the competition will be announced soon.
