Phyllis Reba Thompson, age 79, of Belleview, Florida passed away March 22, 2023 at Ocala Regional. She was born on January 20, 1944 in Trenton, New Jersey to the late Frederick Charles and Madolyn (Crammer) Harrison.
Phyllis was a retired secretary, working at a school and later at a church. She was an active member of Central Baptist Church of Ocala where she sang in the choir and helped in the nursery. Phyllis was dedicated to reading her Bible and enjoyed music; playing the piano and organ along with doing needlepoint. She collected music boxes, wind chimes and salt & pepper shakers, as these treasures were displayed throughout her home.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Lary G. Thompson; sons, Phil (Kathy) Andrews, Tim (Dawn) Andrews; stepdaughters, Cheryl (Richard) Perkins, Michele (Joseph Smith) Thompson and ten grandchildren.
A visitation for Phyllis will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Central Baptist Church of Ocala, 1714 Southeast 36th Avenue, Ocala, Florida 34471. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM. A committal service will conclude services at 1:30 PM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 5740 South Pine Avenue, Ocala, Florida 34480.
