Marion County Public Schools Career Fair heads to WEC in April

Marion County Public Schools will be looking to fill dozens of vacant positions during its upcoming Career Fair at the World Equestrian Center.

The hiring event will take place on Saturday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Expo Center Two at the World Equestrian Center, which is located at 1750 NW 80th Avenue in Ocala.

During the family-friendly event, candidates will be able to apply for jobs in various district departments ranging from teachers, paraprofessionals, and other instruction-based positions to behind-the-scenes support positions such as bus drivers, food service workers, custodial crew members, and Marion Afterschool Program options. Some qualified applicants could be hired on the spot.

According to MCPS, applicants can get a jump start on the employment process by visiting the Marion County Public Schools website, selecting the “Careers” or “Career Fair” tab, and then submitting an application for the desired “FastTrack” position within Skyward.

All full-time positions offer a benefits package with life insurance, healthcare insurance, and a retirement plan; a free Employee Assistance Plan; paid time-off; a family-friendly work schedule; and opportunities to make a difference in the lives of students in Marion County.
