Over 1,000 individuals representing 200-plus organizations, both from the private and public sectors, made the trip to Tallahassee today for Marion County Day at the Capitol.
The event, which takes place each year during the annual Florida Legislative Session, is currently underway at the South Plaza of the Capitol Complex in Tallahassee.

The goal of Marion County Day at the Capitol is to create a forum for citizens, elected officials, and business professionals to work together to highlight Marion County’s natural beauty, economic viability, and agriculture acumen, according to Marion County Public Relations.
The event also seeks to attract new visitors to Marion County and present county-specific legislative needs to elected officials. In addition, representatives from Marion County use their time at the Capitol to advocate for local municipalities and to present the various achievements of communities throughout the county.
