Ocala firefighters sprang into action on Tuesday morning after a fire ignited inside a residential garage.
Shortly before 10:15 a.m., Ocala Fire Rescue units consisting of Engines 2, 3, and 5, Rescue 2, Squad 7, Battalion Chief 11 and 22, and a Safety Officer were dispatched to the 4300 block of NE 11th Street due to reports of a structure fire in the area.
Upon arrival, OFR crews observed smoke rising from an enclosed, detached garage located behind a residence.
According to OFR, a neighbor saw smoke coming from the metal building and was attempting to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters secured a water source and attacked the flames that were emitting from an electric appliance located in the back of the garage. The fire was contained to the area where it had originated, and the flames were quickly extinguished.
No injuries were reported.
The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
