Disney musical ‘Newsies’ comes to Ocala Civic Theatre

The Ocala Civic Theatre’s latest musical, Newsies, will kick off its two-week run on Thursday, May 4.

Based on the 1992 Disney film of the same name and originally produced for Broadway, Newsies: The Musical tells the story of local newsboys who go on strike for better working conditions. Led by the charismatic Jack Kelly, these young “newsies” of New York City fight back against the powers that be – including tabloid titan Joseph Pulitzer.
