Scott Baran died suddenly at the age of 32, on April 27, 2023, in Belleview, Florida. Scott was born on March 12, 1991, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Thomas A. and Kathleen P. Baran. His father is a retired Chrysler Master Mechanic and his mother is a retired scientist. They currently reside in Lady Lake, FL.
Scott earned his Eagle Scout award in 2009 (Apex, NC) and graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School (Raleigh, NC) the same year. During the 2010 and 2011 school years, Scott attended Appalachian State College (Boone, NC). In 2012, he worked for a company repairing computer equipment and helping in the customer service department. Beginning in 2013, Scott and his brother Jim worked together at ServPro, remediating water, fire, and mold damage. The next few years, Scott worked for IBM (Cary, NC) and also for HCL America (Cary, NC) as an IT Service Desk Analyst and subsequently a Senior IT Service Desk Analyst. He loved to work in call-centers working with those calling in for help. In mid-2015, Scott moved with his family to Lady Lake, FL.
Scott played high school lacrosse (we kept his first goal ball!) and was an avid fan of computer games and IT technology in general. In fact, he built several desk-top computers from scratch and routinely repaired all types of electronics. Scott was always down for a good debate on most any topic. He was smart as a whip, thought outside the box, loved computer-related technology, loved people and life and always tried to help those he loved. He was a gentle and kind person and we shall surely miss him.
Scott is survived by his parents, Thomas A. and Kathleen P. Baran, sisters, Barbara A. Baran Sexton and Christine N. Baran; brother, James D. Baran; grandmother, Barbara A. Callahan, and 1-year old daughter (Lilly).
