Belleview police officers are inviting the community to a meet-and-greet event that will take place at a local fast-food restaurant this week.
On Wednesday, May 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., the Belleview Police Deparatment will host “Coffee with a Cop” at the McDonald’s located at 5515 SE Abshier Boulevard in Belleview.
“Join our officers for a cup of coffee at the Belleview McDonald’s,” stated BPD on its Facebook page. During the two-hour event, all attendees will receive one free small coffee (hot or iced).
The mission of Coffee with a Cop is to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve by removing agendas and allowing opportunities for citizens to ask questions, voice concerns, and to get to know the officers in their neighborhood.
