Robert “Clay” Clayton Tyson, 56, a devoted, loving and honorable partner, father, and grandfather, has returned home to his maker’s side on May 16, 2023. Born to Clayton Tyson and Carol Bryan in Plant City, FL, Clay grew to love life to its fullest.

He graduated from Tampa Bay Vo-Tech High School and shortly thereafter joined the Army in 1984, then the Florida National Guard from 1986 – 1990. Clay then settled in Ocala, FL in 1989 and that’s where he called home. He was the proud owner of All Temp of Ocala since 2012 and had a 37-year expertise in HVAC and Commercial Refrigeration. Clay was honored to be a 4H and FFA supporter and spent most of his time outside when he wasn’t working or could have possibly been caught playing solitaire. He was well-known for his mud-bogging skills, finding that sneaky critter in the woods to bring home for the freezer and just plain hanging out with friends and family. He would chat with anyone that came along and never met a stranger.

Clay has spent the past 14 years loving and building a life with his fiance, Lori Hanson. They found a very special bond that not only joined the two of them, but their children as well. His legacy leaves behind so very much including Lori and all of the blended family that they created. Andrew Tyson (Mallory), Allen Tyson, Ryan McClure (April), Cheyenne Tyson, Mandy Irvin (Rodney), and Hunter Hanson along with 11 (almost 12) grandchildren which he adored so much. His mother, Carol Bryan and step-father, Joe Bryan of Lakeland and step-mother, Alice Tyson of Auburndale are also a part of those that will always remember Clay along with his brothers, Chad Tyson, John Farina and Steve Farina. Because of his love for people and fun personality, Clay had many friends and extended family members that will always remember good times and have great memories. He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Tyson as well as his grandparents.

A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Silver Springs, 5151 NE 35th Street, Silver Springs, FL on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 10:00AM.
